Skyrocketing Mining Difficulty Sparks A Surge In Discussions
Despite a few bumps along the way, the overall sentiment remains positive.
The considerable increase in mentions could be linked to Bitcoin Magazine’s tweet  which reported an all-time high for mining difficulty and Cointelegraph’s tweet announcing substantial earnings in the industry from mining activities .
Positive mentions peaked on 20-07-2023, which may be connected to Bitcoin.com’s News account (don’t shoot the messenger) tweet  that discussed Samsung's 3nm chip in the Whatsminer M56S++ and Forbes’ tweet  alluding to a strong year for Bitcoin miners.
Intriguingly, though negative mentions increased, they remained relatively lower than positive mentions suggesting overall positive sentiment towards the mining in the past week.
The total number of mentions for Bitcoin Mining has increased from 8.6k to 10.76k, comprising a change of 25.1% or an absolute increase of 2.16k mentions.
Positive sentiment about mining grew significantly, with the number of positive mentions rising from 1.89k to 3.34k, a jump of 77% (1.45k). However, negative mentions also rose from 416 to 772 (an increase of 86% or 356).
Advertising Value Equivalent also saw a 32.4% decrease, translating to a decrease in value of $900k.
